Every staff member, and volunteer shall have a background check prior to all activities through Fountain of Youth Outdoors Inc.
We shall have a minimum of one staff member or volunteer per every five children during all outdoor activities, unless in a classroom setting.
Staff members and volunteers shall avoid being alone with a child during events and activities.
If a child seeks counseling, the staff member or volunteer will seek another staff member or volunteer, of the same gender as the child, (if possible) to be a part of any counseling to take place.
In the event our organization discovers that a child is or has been abused, we have the duty to act, and will immediately contact the proper authorities to address the situation.
Activities or events that span overnight, shall have sleeping arrangements that consists of boys and girls being separated. The only exception would be immediate family.
During activities or events, children will not be allowed to wander beyond the line of sight.
Alcohol and illicit drugs will not be permitted during any and all activities and events.
By following these procedures, we hope to ensure the safety of children, and preserve the Integrity of Fountain of Youth Outdoors Inc.
